This time of year, we often get worn out from all the “togetherness” – family, parties, events. It can be exhausting, especially for the introverts among us.
At the same time ,we need connection. It’s a basic human need. How to fill it? Friends! Dr. Oz calls them Vitamin F, and highlights the health benefits of having close relationships in our lives. I found this NYT article that shares some of the research .
So this holiday season, when you’re feeling overwhelmed and disconnected, take a minute and reach out to your circle of friends. Make time to get a cup of coffee, go shopping together, or just spend a few minutes on the phone venting about your day. Extra vitamin F is a sure bet to help you have a happy and healthy holiday!
