Joan Teach

Joan K. Teach, PhD has been a special educator working with the ADHD population for over 50 years. As Director of Lullwater School, a center for students with neurobiological needs, she investigated techniques that increased success and survival for her students. She facilitates support groups for parents, adults and women with ADHD and is a catalyst toward growth and success. Upon retirement, she developed a client specialty with late adolescents and young adults. Concerned about the lack of services and support for this population, she utilizes her teaching skills, to guide discovery of strengths, supports uncovering weaknesses and provides guidance to develop goals to improve life skills. As a gamer, she develops games and simulations for the learning difference community. Nationally she has served on the AIGE, CHADD LDA Boards. Locally she is involved with CHADD GA, LDA GA and a new service organization GOLD GA Opportunities for Learning Differences.
