Check in With Your Body

Set an intention to be more present to your body throughout the day.  Practice asking yourself “how is my body right now?” Shift attention to your body, your posture, and your breath to check-in. Different parts of your body can absorb the stress without your being fully aware of the impact.  Places often affected are the jaw, neck and shoulders — so they are good places to start.  Practice taking a few deep inhales, and relaxing those muscles on the exhale.  Explore what else you can do to be kind to your body in that moment (e.g. improve your posture, get a drink of water, or get some fresh air).
